All set..

The bags are packed. We are all geared up to go...Well, when the time comes, I mean.

All the essentials are in . I put all those two bags aside and can be reached easily when the labor comes. But, still there is always something that I feel need to be added in the bags. Always feel the uncompleted stuffs to be brought to the hospital.

The most important documents are the parents ID cards, the marriage certificate and the mum's carnet. Not to forget, we have to get ready in advance the baby's name just because when the baby has delivered, the hospital will needs the baby's name immediately to issue the birth certificate. If the parents fail to do so, the person incharged will put any names on the birth certificate. So scary la! Just imagine if they put our baby's name Nurul Aini Jr.Or Abdul Razak Norizham Jr. Eii..tak masyuk and i dont expect anything to be screwed up on this matter.

After discharging from the hospital, we have two weeks to register our baby at the city administrative, to settle the passport and registered with the Embassy. The sooner the better because we need to book airline tickets ASAP. Yeay! can't wait for that..

So, baby..cepatla keluar...

Sweet tooth plzzz

It so stupid! I am craving for sweet tooth. My saliva is tasteless. I keep hungry and need more food but I have to deprive myself from taking extra food, if not the glucose level will soaring high and my condition keep deteriorating .Sigh! Stupid diabetes. I hate this disease. I want ice cream, ice lollies, ice blended and everything. Indulging myself with the food heavenly without thinking the consequences for the baby is just in the dream world. I know it a few weeks to go before the birth. But, after that I have to undergo the confinement. Still, needing me to extra care of my food intake. benci laaaaaa..lambatnyaaaaa nak lepas seme ni!

New pattern of meal intake.

I called my diabetes specialist yesterday morning as instructed. Dr. Remy Claire asked for my blood analysis for the last three days. When I gave her the results she said, I need to change my pattern intake. She instructed me to take rice in the afternoon instead of in the evening. She wanted my blood result for glucose after waking up in the morning less than 60mg/dl. Hmm..macam2 la weh..

p.s.... Bila nak beranak nih..letihla tunggu bila..n bila..n bila..seksa sungguh penantian ni!

Quaker oats with semi skimmed milk vs morale down

Hmm.. since I have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus, my list of dishes intake have totally change. From eating rice twice per day to once, having veggies once in a while to thrice per day, changing white bread to wholemeal bread and the worst is, having breakfast with quaker oats and semi skimmed milk. The taste is so disgusting. Sometimes I feell like vegetarian with all the green veggies intake more than white or red meat.

I have to less intake for fried thingy menu, only a few types of fruits are ok to be eaten, juice in a box is no-no. I have to replace it with plain water or sometimes unsweetened soya. I need to cook two menu(s) per day. Am's menu is so mouth watering with exact ingredients and mine is tasteless.

I have to take artificial sugar instead of the real sugar. Yeah it tastes almost same but sometimes it can makes your blood glucose level drops and you can get knackered easily. I am officially lay off from ice cream, ice lollies, chocolate and sweet pastries. Not to take into account about pricking fingers fourth times a day. Sometimes all this things may increase my stress level. I am totally sick of being put in a healthy diet. And I guess, if this condition is permanent, I could easily suffering from mental illness. Sighhh!

But, I realized all these are the sacrifices that I have to make for my baby. My baby's healthiness is the most concerning matter after all. Some people said, when you have baby in your arms, it seems like your heart is placing outside your body. Once your baby gets sick you tend to feel sick twice than the baby and when your baby is crying out to the top of his/her small lungs, you are feeling twice times sad to see them like that.Hmmm..The biggest change of one tiny baby can make in our life is priceless.

And one thing is keeping me going on is, My baby...

The chemistry of love

Unborn child can feel his mother's love, emotion and all related to motherliness. They will familiar with the mum's heartbeat, the voice, the walking rhythm etc.

There are so many ways to communicate with the unborn child. One of the method is, by massaging our bump. Trust me, baby will responds to our touch immediately. He seems to know our motherly touch. Unfortunately, otherwise to the fatherly touch though. Why I say so? The answer is because, when Am touches my bump like I did, rarely the baby responds to him..haahahha. Sometimes, I place a headphone on my tummy while playing a lullaby song. The song I chose for my baby is 'hush little baby'. I keep repeating this song everyday. Everytime I play this song, my baby will kick my bump to show his response. Oh please do not said, 'why not reciting quran instead of lullaby?'I know what I am doing. Music is just a minor activity with my baby. Reciting quran is the main thing. I always recite it after my prayer and keep asking from Allah to give me a healthy and well behave kid. InsyaAllah. But I think no need for me to elaborate more..kang jadi riak pulak kan..

Old wives tale is acceptable but not too much interdict from doing 'this' and 'that'during pregnancy la kan. Come on what is the scientific proof of the tales huh? It does not mean I am ignoring all the old wives tale. I do follow it sometimes when it has proven its consequences. Still, make sense la the 'petua' tu..Kalau kolot sangat payahla kan. For me, as long as the activity does not harm the unborn child, so just carry on.

Ok, back to the chemistry of love. The baby seems to know when I am resting my feet after doing the house chores. She or he will wiggle a lot until I need to make him calm by drinking some juice or rubbing my tummy. Not to forget, talking to him saying something nice like 'hi baby', 'how are you baby' or maybe just said 'baby'. He really understands that everything is fine by talking to him. Hence, he can settle quickly.

After 9 months being in his mother tummy, no wonder baby can recognize their mother straightaway after birth. The bonding of mum and baby's love is already there since a few days after conceive. Such an amazing thing indeed! Apa-apa pun itulah keajaiban kejadian tuhan..

Ok la, my bed is beckoning. I need to pen off. Ops keyboard off. Dear baby, see you this coming 5th June ok..Assalamualaikum.

Baa baa black sheeps have you any wool?

I had an evening walked with my friend, Laurence. We went from one wool shops to other shops just to choose the best yarn for my baby. Actually I just chose the colour and the design, and Laurence will knit it for me. She paid for the yarns and the workmanship is definitely free, it likes an advance gift for the baby. I chose red colour and the design will show it later when it finished. I can imagine how cute my baby can be in the bonnet, booties and scarf. All are in one suit.hehehhe..suka...Seriously, I cannot wait to dress up our tiny baby during this coming winter.

Sharing infos..

The pregnancy bible from Dr. Miriam Stoppard, titled conception, pregnancy, and birth is very recommended for all pregnancy ladies especially a new mums to be. I bought the book earlier this month at Waterstone's Book Store and it only costed me Euro 27.25. It is not a paperback book, but a hardcover instead. The book contains 376 pages and I can learn a lot about pregnancy, what to expect during labour etc. Right on cue, this book becomes handy in learning and gaining knowledge about pregnancy and after birth, for dummy like me.

As we know, every pregnancy is unique, and so does the labour. Surely, every mums will face the different experiences during pregnancy and birth, yet it not giving us any excuses not to search any infos about it. Well, who knows maybe the infos are useful later on. So do try to read this book !

Even though, I am in the middle of reading but I could not help myself from finding another books to buy as another sources of information. When I am a thousand miles apart from my parents and families to seek for the advice, hence books are the answers for all the queries.

Spending hours in a book store just simply to buy one book, is normal scenario for me. Plus the books in here is not too expensive compared to the book stores back home. That is what I love so much about living abroad.

Tomorrow is part of our big day..second scan for our baby. I hope, the gender will reveal...yippy!!

Untukmu Sayang..

Aminnnnn.

Fussiness

I thought for tomorrow's menu. Suddenly the idea of cooking rojak pasembor is popping in my mind. I was browsing the recipe to find the easiest and acceptable recipe. I think I have found one after choosing from a few type of the internet recipe. We will see whether tomorrow's mood of cooking is remain or just wash away in my night sleep..hehehehe.

Feeling blase with daily menu which is rice and chicken lead me to change the dishes. It almost hard to think what food can be eaten by me with the current state. The fussiness in choosing the acceptable food sometimes very hard to tackle with. If I against my dream foods, it will make me throw up like a monster. So to avoid this, better go with the flows right? Just eat what I want to instead of eating what I have been forced to eat.apa daa berbelit2..apa2 je le. Pregnancy makes my appetite becomes fussy..ngeh2.

Girl or boy?

Short entry for today's update ...

People keep asking me if I would prefer a girl or a boy, but honestly I do have hope for a baby girl but Am does not have a preference either way. After thinking carefully it does not matter the gender though. The most important thing is the baby is healthy...Can't wait for the second scan in one month time..Hope for the best je!

P/S- but I know, deep down in Am's heart he hopes for a baby boy.But he refuse to admit it.kikikiki..

Nursery Rhymes

I am looking for the nursery rhymes. I keep browsing until I found the one that I love to hear and download. It makes me realized how poor my knowledge is in the baby's rhymes.. Well, after reciting quran I think it should be ok to let the tiny baby inside to enjoy the nursery rhymes for his/her mind development. Research says so..so I just accept the fact.

The best nursery rhymes for me is, Hush little baby...It not just the lyrics catch my eyes but the melody as well..

Hush, little baby, don't say a word.
Mama's gonna buy you a mockingbird

And if that mockingbird won't sing,
Mama's gonna buy you a diamond ring

And if that diamond ring turns brass,
Mama's gonna buy you a looking glass

And if that looking glass gets broke,
Mama's gonna buy you a billy goat

And if that billy goat won't pull,
Mama's gonna buy you a cart and bull

And if that cart and bull turn over,
Mama's going to buy you a dog named Rover.

And if that dog named Rover won't bark,
Mama's going to buy you a horse and cart.

And if that horse and cart fall down,
You'll still be the sweetest little baby in town...

I will keep looking for the nursery rhymes for my own collection. What else should a desperate housewife cum pregnant lady does instead of wasting time with her own activities...heheheeh

Bleeding

Last night I talked about my baby non stop to Am. I was imagined this and that for our little one until I fell asleep. In the middle of the night, I woke up to wee thus, straightaway I headed off to the toilet. When I want to flush the toilet I realized something was not right. The toilet bowl's water was reddish and pinkish. I thought, am I bleeding? When I used the toilet paper it appeared that there was a blood stain on it. Adrenaline hormone kept pumping into my heart and I was so scared..Very scared indeed!

-Panick struck-

Quickly, I stepped out from the toilet and told Am what had happened. In his sleepiness he said, ''just go to sleep..nothing to be afraid of''...So hesitantly, I laid in the bed sleepless until dawn. I was resting until ten am and then I decided to go to the toilet again to check the bleeding. When I stood up, suddenly..plup..plup..It was bleeding again. For twice. It seemed like the first day of the heavy flow of the period. Just the difference was, it was a light flow instead..But still..it was bleeding moreover in the second trimester of the pregnancy it is not something to be neglected.

The urged feeling to go to the hospital rushed into me. I said to Am to get ready because I need to go to the emergency department to have the detail checked about this. Oh before that, I was calling Kak Na and Dr. Ashraf to ask about my condition. They said, it much better to go to the hospital to get the proper checked.

Arrival-We arrived at the hospital at 12.30 PM. After registration, we had to wait and suddenly the nurse called up my name. We went to the consultation room and she asked me in details about the bleeding. After satisfying with my elaboration she asked us to wait outside. The gynecologist was on the way..On called beb because of me..hehehhee

After waiting for 30 minutes the Gynecologist had arrived and she asked to come to the check up room. She asked me to take off my trouser and panty. She performed Vaginal checked. It occurred the blood was sticking on the glove that she used to check in my vaginal. She pressed my abdomen-to be exact at my stomach and asked whether it painful or not. I said it painless. She applied the cold gel on my tummy and started to scan. After a while, she found the baby heart's beat and the baby is fine...She/ he is in a good nick..live and in a good shape..Alhamdulillah..I am so thankful to Allah to save my baby. I kept praying since the last night in hope everything went very well. Alhamdulillah, Allah granted my dua'. In fact, I could not praise thankful enough to the Almighty to save my baby.. After all the procedure of the test completed, I asked the gynecologist what was the causes of the bleeding? She said she did not know exactly why it happen, but the scan result showed a low lying placenta in my womb. Well, she said I need a bed rest and she prescribed some medicine.

We went home with relieved feeling But still, I need to take extra care of myself. Oh, for the first time, I went to the hospital without feeling afraid of any tests that the doctor could do on me. And for the first time ever, I felt like I could take whatever 'things' happened to me BUT not my tiny little baby...I guess the motherhood feelings and love have been 'invented' in me since the past four months...I love you my baby and please..please..stay still in my womb until you meet 'the creature' a day before he sends you to this world. You need to go through the dialogue in the heaven with him. He will tell you that your angle is waiting for you patiently with full hearted and love to offer.. and the best thing is, she will keep waiting for you until your time has come to be sent to this small world to meet me..Your mummy..Again melancholic attack..sigh!!!

Rambling in week 10

Yes, yes I know if I keep writing about my pregnancy experience, some of you might think my blog is turning to PIBG blog. Well, I guess it will somehow in no time. So pardon me for the uneasy entry about all this k. Heehehe..I am planning to make this 40 weeks of my journey as a special journal, so that I can remember it precisely when I am a few years ahead later on. I want to appreciate every moment of it. InsyaAllah.

Since a few weeks back, I face the same problem, nausea. But I read somewhere that this problem will go away when you up to 12 or 13 weeks of pregnancy, and I do hope so. It is very awful indeed to go through this morning sickness. It not just in the morning, it will come anytime though! And sometimes it can make my day worsen or even worst!

Oh by the way, I know it is too soon to buy for baby thingy but I cannot help myself from doing the survey on it. I visited a few baby shops and so far the cheapest white baby cot I can get is from IKEA ( I only want white colour for the baby cot, mosses basket and wardrobe for the baby, that is my so -called dream since I was single k..hhehee..jauh betul impian tu). Yep, so do you know, in Europe IKEA is the cheapest shop to buy furniture thingy and it is suitable for the budget people like us. It is so contrast compare to Malaysia. Maybe because of the currency converter, I guess!

Ops, we already received our ID thus, I will plan for our next trip soon, maybe in this coming February. I do not even know where our destination this time is, but I want to get out from Belgium soon. Bosan la wei! Ok hope I will find the best offer and place to visit soon. Ciao!

I am expecting!

Lilypie Expecting a baby Ticker

Here is the greatest news I want to share with all...We are expecting our little baby next year. The due date is around 18th July 2009..Yehaa...So now, I am in the week nine of my pregnancy. Nothing much happend, just I face the nausea problem. The morning sickness is quite bad. I cannot cook and the worst is I will vomit everytime I see our kitchen. So, I only stay in our bedroom to avoid the kitchen view..Uwekkkkk..

First time of my check up was last week. The nurse took 8tubes of my blood and truthfully, I just about to pass out during the test..But, lucky me, I did not. The nurse gave me a glass of water to make myself better. And today, again we off to the hospital for the first time check up with genecologist. I deserved right, when she performed pap smear test on me just now. ahahhaa..I tried to avoid from this test thrice time in the U.K, but today ..no more chance to avoid it. But, it does not matter because the test is painless. In a couple of second the test is finished. So, my next appointment is another one month. Oh by the way, I received plenty of freebie items for our future baby from the hospital..I likeeeeee..hehehe..

Ok la..that's all..my first scan is on 9th January..so I hope everything goes very well..Wish me luck for the pregnancy, labour, birth and baby k..Insya Allah..amin..
