Rome, Italy day 1 and 2

Day 1

After coming back from Rome, I really need some time to get in piece. I was so tired with the trip. We jet off on 14th March 2008 at 6.30pm and arrived in Rome at 8.30 pm. We bought the Terravission bus tickets to get to the city centre, Termini Station. The tickets only costed us Euro 14/person for the return tickets. You can buy it at the airport or on board. If you want a better deal, do buy it online and you can save Euro two for each of the return ticket.

The journey from airport to the city centre took 30 minutes. After arriving in the city, we started looking for our hotel. It just nearby the Termini Station and it was not so bad, only Euro 46 per night including breakfast for 2. Actually the price is vary depends on the season. During summer it would be double from the standard price, and all the hotel mostly quite expensive in summer compare to the other seasons.

Just after finding the hotel, we took bath , diner and rest our feet for tomorrow trip...zzzzzzz..

Day two

In the early morning, off we went to the most important and attractive places in Rome, the Colosseum. Before that we thought either to take sightseeing bus that costed around Euro 23 per day per person or go for the normal public transports. When we took into account of everything, we decided against our initial planned of buying sightseeing bus pass. We chose metrobus instead. The pass allowed us to unlimited travel with any buses and metro in Rome. It was so cheap. Only Euro four per day or Euro 11 for three days and Euro 16 for a week. You can make your choice which passes you want to go to suit your condition and budget.

Back to the Colosseum story, The metro station for Colosseum is, colosseo. It only two stations apart from our hotel, Termini Station. One thing for sure was, Rome was the most crowded tourist places that I have been so far. Compared to Prague, Paris, London and etc..Rome won the category of the-most-crowded-with the tourists. Not to forget it quite expensive city to visit too..Expensive but really worth it!

I do not know but I love Rome very much, if we have some budget we will jet off to Italy again to visit Venice, Milan and Florence. insyaAllahhhhh..

At the Colosseum we just wandering around outside since too many people were in Q to buy the Colosseum tickets, You can beat the Q if you take tour that costed around Euro 20 to Euro 23 per person. If you are in a tight budget, just get yourselves in the Q and pay only Euro nine per person for the admission fee of the Colosseum, Palatino Garden and Roman Bath. Well, the first and second day was nice and we decided to enter the Colosseum a day before we off back to Belgium. The most important info is, when you go to the Colosseum, beware of the cone men. They are everywhere especially the people who wears the gladiator costume. Check the price first before agree to take photo with them. They would charge you up to Euro 20 for just a few bloody worst pictures. And do not forget, if you want to buy the souvenirs do not buy with the lorries men.It much expensive compared to the souvenirs shops.

From the Coloseum we off to Trevi fountain, Monument Emanuel 2, and many more places. The must been visited places if you go to Rome.

For the currency- In Italy the currency is in Euro..1 euro equal to Ringgit Malaysia 4.9...or 1 euro equal to 0.91 pence.

Our Day 1 and 2 pics..just a few..lain2 tgk kat fb k..

Trevi fountain, the mitos is, if you throw coin into the water, you will return to Rome later..rubbish kan?
The colosseum area
The Spanish Steps...must visit place.
The Colosseum during day
The Colosseum during nite..
