Visa plan for 'risky' visitors

I read this article from BBC News website just now and I am quite unpleasant to know that Malaysian will need visas to visit the U.K even for short stay in early 2009. As we know, now Malaysian can enter Britain without visas for maximum of 6 months of duration stay but recently, because of a Home Office report identifies fake passports, criminal acts and terrorism as possible risks posed by visitors so that U.K government might be started the new visa requirements become law by early 2009.

There is only one way to avoid this enforcement law or 'no need' to introduce a visa regime which is Malaysia has to show an evidence that all those criminals are not as worse as been reported. Nowadays, many foreigners are able to purchase fake Malaysian passport easily to enter the UK. I reckon it is alright for the UK to take precaution in case this holding fake Malaysian passport or genuine Malaysian is a terrorist. Malaysian should blame the government for not curbing the Malaysian passport scams effectively and thoroughly.

Besides that, when we dealt with Malaysia Embassy during Belgium visa application in London , there was one incident happened that lead us to file a complaint about inefficiency services and incompetence people that worked in the Embassy. Apparently, our complaint was answered nicely by one of the person in consular division. He told us that all of inefficiency services aren't because they haven't done their jobs properly but the main reason is because they have to deal with more important matters such as illegal imigrants, criminal charges , court cases that had been done by Malaysian. He said that almost 50 percent of Malaysian involved in this criminals. Well, as a Malaysian proverb said 'Because of a drop of blue dye, a whole pot of milk is contaminated' that means, just because of a person's fault, the whole community/group related to the person gets a bad reputation.

The ministers and authorities inefficiency in solving passport scam have lead to UK's intention to impose VISA rules. Can the authority arrest the bloody person behind passport and mykad scam quickly to void UK VISA rules?... They can't?...Why? Well, if the new visa regime has become a new law I guess we as a Malaysian will think thrice if we want to visit the U.K..apa nak jadi pada negaraku ni oii...

Petikan dr BBC News

The government has warned 11 countries that their citizens will need visas to visit the UK unless they "significantly reduce" the risk they pose. Listed are Brazil, Namibia, South Africa, Malaysia, Venezuela, Bolivia, Botswana, Lesotho, Mauritius, Swaziland, and Trinidad and Tobago. A Home Office report identifies bogus passports, criminal acts and terrorism as possible risks posed by visitors. It says the new visa requirements could become law by early 2009. The new countries on the visa list have a combined population of more than 300 million - nearly 5% of the world's population. We need to decide how to widen the visa net. We cannot and will not shy away from going wider Liam Byrne, immigration minister If visas are imposed on them, 80% of the world's population will be subject to visa entry requirements in order to visit the UK. Because Britain is a member of the EU, citizens of European countries do not need visas to visit the UK. Border and Immigration Minister Liam Byrne said: "We need to decide how to widen the visa net. "We cannot and will not shy away from going wider and will, whenever we think there is a risk to the UK." 'Evidence of change' He said the government will now "work with" the countries over the next six months in an effort to reduce the risks. "If they are able to show evidence of change then there will be no need to introduce a visa regime," said Mr Byrne. The criteria for the Home Office's Visa Waiver Test included looking at passport security and integrity; the degree of co-operation over deportation or the removal of a country's nationals from the UK. Levels of illegal working in the UK and other immigration abuses, levels of crime and the risk of a visitor committing a terrorist act were also considered. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7499713.stm

Landlord

We call our Landlord as Mr.Br or Mr.Birchlane.This nickname has been given by us since we rent one of his house located at the street called Birchlane in Longsight. Talks about Mr.Br, actually he is a nice guy but sometimes I can't stand him in some matters ,as example, right on cue he came to collect the rent since yesterday was a collection day ( opss...he refused earlier in agreement to receive monthly payment via bank transfer, should be because he wanted to avoid from paid a huge amount of tax to Inland Revenue..i should report him..just kidding).

I asked Mr.Br either we still need to pay the last rent since we are moving out not later than mid March..the earlier the better..or just deducted from our deposit..Guess what??he insisted us to pay the rent.Huh!!Does he ever think that in this case,at the end he has to return the deposit + 1/2 month rent instead of the deposit only?reluctantly, we paid the rent since he seemed out of sorts..whatever but for me he such a jerk this time!

When there is weakness, there must be kindliness (or the other way round). The best thing about him is everytime he accepts the new tenant, He won't mind to do the refurbishment by himself to ensure the house condition in good nick and state and up to the mark. Furthermore, in this country fully furnish houses are seem to be part of the condition that all tenant are looking for when they consider to rent a house or flat. In truth, when the first time i stepped my feet in this house last one and half years, everything was newly looked and equipped in term of furniture, and all the walls and ceilings were newly painted. Everything was nice indeed.

To Mr. Br...I hope you'll be more practical with ur new tenant..ops...do not forget to buy a new fridge before put the house on the advertisement...ciao!!

p/s :- for my rememberance when i look back in the future, we paid the rent (GBP 360/month),excluded all bills.Rent since October 2006 to March 2008.

Mother's Day-UK Celebration on 2nd March 2008.

Every year there is one day that the world has defined as Mother's Day.. Mother's Day is a time of commemoration and celebration for Mom. It is a time of breakfast in bed, family gatherings, and crayon scribbled "I Love You's." the day where we celebrate and dedicate for all mums. In the U.K we will be celebrated Mother's Day on 2nd March 2008 not similar with the U.S and Malaysia which is celebrated on 11th May.

I was closed to become a mum before, but unfortunately out of the blue before the best moment arrives in my life i misscarried.Only GOD knows what my feeling was that time..but it's ok for me everything happened must be a reason. The truth is, even i had the chance only for 6 weeks to feel the feeling but affirmatively, I can tell how much and fast the feeling grows naturally in my heart.

Despite being less appreciate of my mother's love before ( i think so )but trust me that I really am now. The thousand miles distance between us make me realize how deep is my love and in fact I miss her so much.I even can burst into tears everytime we talk over the phone, and guess what?likewise to my mum.It might be a bit cliché but I still want to keep telling you mum that I hope you know that I love u so much no matter what and thanks for being with me all the time during ups and downs and thanks for having me in ur life.Thankx for being subtle of me ...Happy mother's Day to you Mum and to all mums in the world.

Poem that i think i wanna share with and might be better to paste it here...

"Anakku,…

Engkau ikut kemanapun ibu pergi

Maka ibu memilih berjuang melahirkanmu

Mendengarkan ayahmu mengumandangkan adzan,
Kalimat syahadat kebesaran Allah dan penetapan hati tentang junjungan kita Rasulullah di telinga mungilmu

Anakku,…
Maka ibu memilih menyusuimu,

Maka ibu memilih bermain puzzle denganmu

Tetapi anakku…
Hidup memang pilihan…
Maka maafkanlah nak…
Maafkan ibu…
Maafkan ibu…
Percayalah nak, ibu sedang menyempurnakan puzzle kehidupan kita,
Percayalah nak…
Sepi dan ranamu adalah sebagian duka ibu
Percayalah nak…
Engkau adalah selalu menjadi belahan nyawa ibu…

When in Rome, do as the Romans...

After I've been in UK for almost 6 months..I started to realize that if I keep telling to myself that "UK? ..bored", "don't know what to do here", "I've got no frenz here"..and all negative thought..surely at the end I've got nothing to learn when I've been here,InsyaAllah for almost 3 years....One day when I woke up from my slept, I've changed my mind set to a positive things..I've been thought that I will waste my time if I do nothing...I've got to try and follows their cultures, customs and practices without forget my own cultures and all. From that time I had started to find a frenz with joined whatever a free classes that had been offered here just simply to find a frenz and gained my knowledge..Thanks God ..now I've got a lot of friends from my classes and from different country that I attended to.When we were visited a different places or cultures we should appreciate them..not keep telling others how was great the country or cultures you have been before.Sometimes people getting bored to hear your nagged about a new place compared to your previous place you've been before. It's not a fault to keep telling others but ...Do we realize why we have been at this place if this is not our choice...so "When in Rome, do as the Romans"....
