Inappropriate, oh dear!

Nurturing our kids need us to say more positive things in hoping they will build their self esteem and confidence . The kids will grow up and become a person in a way we teach them how to be. As for me, I admit I am not a perfect mum, yet to be a supermom, is out of my reach. When I have so much in my plate, I could not control my anger towards Haris and the innocent toddler becomes one of the reason for me to let go my 'grumpiness'.

I realized my mistakes but sometimes, it did happen beyond my control. As per example, when Haris kept demanding things when I was busy rolling up my sleeves in the kitchen, I easily felt annoying when he asked for my attention by dropping stuffs , asking so many questions etc.

Thus, this happened today,

Haris-mama, where is the rabbit?mama, what sound does the cow make? mama nak hot chocolate,..mama this and mama that..!

Mama-( Making the sighing sound likes this) 'uhhhh, what else do you want Haris?I am busy plsssss!' My intonation just about losing patience.

Haris- copying me by saying 'uuuhuhh'.. and he copied my intonation too!

I was breathing in and out while watching at the small face and thinking, oh dear, what have I taught to my kid?

Soon after that, I asked myself, 'Is this what I want? My kid to reply me like this when I old?'

Seriously, I felt sorry for him and for myself. InsyaAllah, I will try to control my grumpiness better in the future. Err, do I need a session for anger management counseling? Hehehe ok just kiding!

Mama was sorry Haris, I know that was the inappropriate manners of me as a mum..To be honest, I did say sorry to Haris and he replied me by saying 'it's okay mama'  ;-)))

What lies ahead remain mystery, until it did happen!

Many things happened yet so little time to share with in this blog. To make it short, I wrote an entry about 'cripple' a few days back. Actually the reason behind my 'cripple entry was, our apartment was breaking in. The incident happened around 3.30pm  when we were out and about in the city center. When we returned home at 6 pm there was no sign of breaking in at the main entrance (we live in a second floor out of 3rd), but our main apartment door was left opened by the burglar. The loss was quite bearable,  well sort of! My compaq mini netbook, Am's laptop, my Canon dslr, my compact camera panasonic lumix, and money worth Eur 260 were robbed. The icing of the incident was, we had to pay 240 Euro for changing the broken door.

We called the police to report about the incident but I was pretty sure there was nothing the police could do especially without the witness. It was quite tricky. Alhamdulillah, Allah nak uji :-))..

Though, bad things happened for a reason. The  wisdom behind the tragedy was, Am got a better laptop and it was free because the sv bought it for him. He is now, a proud owner of 15inc Mac book pro, and as for me, Sony Vaio is more than good because I was expected to get a mini netbook only.

Ok, enough about the burglary.

Today tragedy was far unforeseen.

I have been living in this peace and serene city called Liege for almost four years. I have not experienced something out of league that could be a drawback of living in this city. Language? Yes, it quite a barrier but what to expect you live in people's territory so you must follow their cultures not otherwise. There are few things that I can say as a scarcity but they are still tolerable. Though, today at 12.35pm there was an attacked right in the city center on the busiest roads and christmas market. I did not know about it until my husband ring me to tell about the hand grenades attack at the bus stop just a few meters away from our apartment,   across the street of the main shopping gallery.

Initially, I was thinking to bring Haris out today for buying cookies and muffins but fortunately, I got held up by chatting with my old friend. I could not imagine if I was out as per planned. From the latest news, the death toll is 6 and 123 people wounded.

The attacker, died at the scene. What I could tell was, blood spattered on the roads, people were screaming and crying out loud seeking for help, the arms policemen and policewomen were everyehere, the roads to the center were sealed off, the helicopter was whizzing around the sky to monitor the condition and it reminded me the incident in CSI.

The saddest thing was, the baby as young as 18 months died due to the grenades attacked. Poor soul, sigh!

Thus, by the time I write this, everything is back to normal.Alhamdulillah!

This makes me think, kalau dah ajal sedetik pun tak boleh dilambatkan, hidup dan  mati di tangan Allah...mati itu pasti cuma cara kematian yg berbeza..

Nevertheless, I still love this country ,Malaysia ?Of course lerrrrrr

cripple

I am feeling cripple without my DSLR and the netbook. Fortunately, the new viao is mine now but Am will be using it for a while before his supervisor replace another laptop for him. Now, we have to start surveying a new dslr for me and I have four months duration before my next travel.

What a month!

That is why the customer service is important ...

I am in the midst of planning my weekend getaway to one of the countryside in Holland. What I am so pissed of is the way the owner of one of the Bed and Breakfast replied my queries.

Here is the email between me and the owner. Basically, I asked the owner about the reservation. I wrote something like this,

Hi,

There is slightly changing the programmed. It is two nights instead of one night.
Do you have a vacant room for two night on 14 october until 16 october 2011? And is your B&B is easy access by bus from Steenwijk train station?

If the answers are yes for all the queries above then I would like to confirm my reservation.

Thank you
nurul

And he replied in Dutch something like this,

goede morgen de prijs 80 euro voor 1 nacht  voor 3 pers voor bed and braekfrast vr gr hoeve montigny

In the web, they said they speak Dutch, German , Italiano and English. When I asked them in English..

1. They replied in Dutch. So, what is the point of saying they speak English if they did not use the right language to reply my email!
2. They did not answer my queries about the vacant room, how to get there etc. If I received an email like that, I guessed they have a vacant room for us. But , unfortunately when I replied that email to confirm my reservation, the owner replied back by saying something like this.

we have not a room for you

That is exactly the replied which I got from the owner. Can you see how unmannered they were? No, greeting at least 'Hello or Hi' will do in this email. Besides that, There is no 'sorry' or 'thank you' in this conversation.

I do not expect the customer service in this B&B to be this poor. I tell you what, I am glad they have not got a vacant room because I can see myself cursing them if I stayed in their accommodation with the bad service. With Eur 80 per night, I can find much better quality hotel with a good customer service.

So, people out there, if you want to visit Giethoorn, do not book this B&B, Hoeve Montigny Giethoorn. Personally, I have deleted this B&B in my list, forever! As simple as that.

Worst experience with Hellvetia hotel, Venice Lido Italy

Ok, as I promised in my previous entry. This entry is just about the hotel that we stayed in Venice. The hotel's name is Hellvetia and it is located in Venice Lido and only 15 minutes by boat to the tourist area, St. Marc Square.

First of foremost, nothing was good about this hotel. The room was small, the furniture was lousy , the staffs especially an old lady in a biker jacket were rude, the hotel's policy was rubbish which was we could not bring any foods into the room except a small amount of drink and with a baby it was quite difficult. The funny thing was, we never saw any notices about this rules until the old lady saw us brought a box of pizza to the hotel and she said it was against the hotel's policy. I could not see any policy about bringing foods everywhere in the hotel until the next day after the incident the hotel put the notice on the reception desk about the foods thingy. I can accept if she said in a polite way but it was not!

Besides that, the hotel was pricey and the location was not so good. If you have a limited time of traveling just stay at the main land. It is quite expensive but trust me, you will satisfy and does not waste too much time on riding a boat.

On the day of our departure, we notified the hotel's staff that we wanted to checked out very early in the morning so we insisted on paying by cash at the counter a day before departure. We settled the bill and the staff said, he can only gave us the receipt on the next day because only one person was allowed to write the bill. Rubbish wasn't? Owh, one more thing, on the day we checked in the hotel, the staff held our passports for I did not know the purposed of that but one thing for sure, your passport is not something that other people can simply hold it. It against the rules.

On the day of our departure, we received an email from the hotel's staff and it said, we had broken the sink and the chamber maid was not there to check during the checking out due to the time of our checking out was too early. We checked out at 7 am and the chambermaid clocked in time was 8 am. The hotel insisted us to pay Eur 195 for this. We were not happy because when we left the hotel everything was in a good nick. Nothing was broken! We replied the email saying that we were not going to pay the amount and it was not fair to do the false allegation like that.

The hotel seemed did not want to give in, so they said, they will charge our credit card for this amount. Before we had time to cancel the credit card, the amount was charged to our credit card. We were so furious and filed a claim to our bank and attached all the receipts of payment etc. The bank said, if everything is ok we will get the refund. Fingers crossed! Though I am not happy with this matter. So, to the people out there avoid this hotel! We put a comment on booking.com website but unfortunately our comment was invisible to other people to review it. Booking.com is taking side on the hotel.

So, if you want to book a hotel, avoid the not so well known hotel and avoid the hotel with the reviews are invisible . There is must be something wrong with the hotel if the guests keep saying negatives comments about it. This is the precious experience for us. After this we will loyal to IBIS or well known hotels instead of searching for a good bargain. Trust me, if something is too good to be true that means it is scam.

Though Hellvetia hotel ruined our sweet memories in Venice but I still thinking of visiting Venice again in the future...InsyaAllah..

catch red handed

I think from the title above, people can guess what I try to say in this note. That idiom brings the meaning of catching someone in the middle of doing something wrong.

So, the story begins...

Everytime we go to the launderette, we will bring all the clothes in the blue Ikea bags. Those bags will be leaving on the top of the washing machine all together with the fabric softener and the washing powder. It just not us who left the Ikea bags like that, most of the customers will do the same thing, regardless the brand and type of the bags that they bring to the launderette.

A couple of weeks ago, the incident happened to Am whereby after loading the dryer and switching it on, he left the Ikea bags before the dryer and soon after that he went out for smoking. After five minutes and so, he returned to the launderette and find out the bags had been stolen. Suddenly, he spotted the bags with the black guy. Nicely, he said to the guy, ' all those bags are mine and I put them on the floor right in front of the dryer like others did!' Without drama, the black guy returned the bags to Am.

Can you see what is the problem here? Stealing! That is the problem. The icing on the cake was, the black man never said sorry for stealing and never felt guilty of his wrong doing.

Until one fine morning in the last two weeks, the incident happened again but this time I was at the location.

After loading the clothes in the washing machines, We went to the Sunday market to buy some fruits and veggies. We returned to the launderette after 45 minutes and I find out, two of my Ikea bags had gone. I brought three all together.

My hunch kept saying the black lady in the launderette was the one who stole my bags, but I did not have a proof of accusing her of doing so.

Hmm...I just kept thinking how to get my hands on the bags nearby her piled up clothes. So, I kept back and forth in front of her to wait for the right moment to do so.

Until.....

Suddenly, out of the blue, when she tried to lift the bags, the bottle of my fabric softener fell down from the bags. Gotcha! I just knew it! The woman was caught red-handed when she tried to use my bags to fill in her laundry. The adrenaline rushed all over my body and I could feel the strength of saying something to her. I said to her out loud,

' Those are my bags and I put them over there, and why are you stealing them?'. She could not understand me very well, she replied to me in French but she could guess I called her a thief, until there was a lady who could understand English popped in to the shop and be our spoke person. I asked the lady to tell the black woman this, 'for me, it is not acceptable to take everybody stuff without permission. Somehow, I put the bags on the machines that full of my clothes. So, if she took my bags, how on earth could I bring all my clothes back home? With my bare hands ?It ridiculous ok'.

Unfortunately, for this black lady, she did not read it as a stealing. She jumped up her arse when she knew I said her action is called 'stealing'. She kept saying she could pay the price of those bags straight on my face and kept repeating the price of the bags just only 50 cent.

OMG! I almost lost my sanity in dealing with the idiots. I did not care about the money, what I really pissed off was, stealing. Oh and I was lucky though because I was thinking of leaving my Deuter bag instead. If I did leave my Deuter, you can call me moron. hehehe

Some people maybe think and say, it just only the Ikea bags, for god sake! Do not take it too much or make drama , but for me, the point is, taking other people stuff without permission is stealing. Does not matter how cheap the thing is. Stealing is not permitted.Dishonourable!

I cannot see the reason why we need to steal. Sometimes, you have money but you still stealing. Some people said, stealing is a habit. A really bad habit. I guess it is right after all and I could not agree more, when hudud is the best action to tackle this problem.

Ok la ni Belgium is not a muslim country but kalau dapat lempang si pencuri ni bagus gak hehehehe.

Moral is, jangan mencuri la..moron

Saints and Sins

Picture is not related to the story but the quote is.

"I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
-- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Belgium is a unique country!

Do you want to know why do I say so? The answer is because this country is divided to two part. One part is Flanders and people speak Dutch as their main language and the other part is Wallonia, and they speak French. Though, there are a few languages available in this country such as English and German.

Since I've been living in Belgium there are twice time the local people from Dutch speaking part tried to annoy us with the question or statement like this, 'this is the first class couch' or ' do you know this is the first class couch?'.

Ok let's me get it straight. When I wrote those sentences, I was talking about the people who tried to remind or reassure that we sit in the right coach in the train. Well, of course only first and second class coaches are available in any trains.

Before reading the whole story, bear in mind that the first class ticket is almost double the price of the second class one.

The first incident happened when I sat by a man in my journey from Brussels to Liege. We got the time wrong when we departed at the peak hours. The train was packed with working people and we were fortunate to have the first class tickets in hand. After five minutes of journey, that man did ask me this question, 'Do you know this is the first class couch?' The way he asked me was like, I was not having enough money to buy the first class ticket! Shallow ok! Without having second thought and doubt I answered to him politely but in a sarcastic intonation like this,

'Oh yes, I do and I do not think the first class ticket is so expensive , isn't? Oh by the way, I never travelled in second class, It is not my standard' While giving him a fake smile.

I tell you, this man looked disgusted with my sarcastic answer and he went quite for the whole journey. I shall say this to his face but I did not.' Dude, we are in the lower score, you do not like me and I do not like you either!'. Serve him right, I reckon.

The second incident was happened when we sat by this middle age couple, from the moment I sat my arse on the seat the lady kept looking at us from head to toe like we did something wrong. At the first time I just ignored her but after a couple of moments I could not stand her glance anymore. Suddenly, out of the blue I popped out this question to her and trust me I did not know where is the strength come from. I said to her,' Hi, Is there something wrong with us?' and she said 'nothing' but I could sense her guilty voice. I continued talking to her by saying ' Ok, if nothing is wrong, can you please stop staring because it is rude to stare at other people!'. After hearing I said something like that, she turned her head around to the window and never had a gut to give us even a little peek.

I learnt something from those experiences.

Sometimes, we have to say it loud if we know we are right. Never let people bully us and do remember nothing to be afraid of. Speak out loud and that is it. But, never ever showed how thick you are. Always be smart in handling situation.

Again, life abroad teaches me to stand on my two feet!

cencalok, budu and I

Let's me get it straight. I am so into cencalok compared to budu but both are not a good choice for my hubby. He does not eat cencalok, budu, sambal belacan and all type of sambal etc. He is a very straightforward person. Curry and vegies, or any gravy will do except all those types of masak lemak.

I could vividly remember one of the incident happened to us when the first time I stepped my foot in Manchester in the four years back. I could picture the incident as much as I can remember the story line of my favourite film 'The green miles'.

One day, I found cencalok in one of the Asian shop called Apna. The price of one bottle of cencalok was very intriguing which was two pound per bottle and during that time, the currency exchange was about 1 pound = RM7. Do the maths please...

I was so damn happy to find cencalok so straightaway I bought one to satisfy my taste buds. Wasting time not, I asked my hubby to open the lid so that I could indulge myself to the fullest. To be honest, that cencalok had the worst lid ever. We could not simply opened it like the one which sell back home. We tried to use can opener but still we were struggling to open it until 'pop'!!!!

The big and echo sound came along with the filling of the cencalok spreaded and scatter all over the ceiling, the walls and the floors in our kitchen. Am was so furious when the cencalok safely 'landed' on his hair. Well, you know the smell of the cencalok was a nightmare. Even though, he had a great shower did not means he could get rid of the smell easily.

From the night onwards, he forbade me from buying cencalok, budu or whatsoever that related to these types of foods. Being stubborn me, I bought one of the budu and hid it in my kitchen cabinet and only ate it when he was not at home.

The hatred feeling towards cencalok and budu were obvious, but who cares..I love them so cencalok or budu will always be one of my stock in my kitchen cabinet.

hehehehehe

And this is why I need budu..

Going mental!

Having such an idiot as a neighbour could be a nightmare especially if we live in apartment or flat. The condition goes mental if the neighbour could not tolerate the idea of their neighbour is having a baby. As we know, when you have a baby so it is normal to have a buggy. If we use buggy it is completely normal to have tyres stain on the hallway especially on the flooring tiles. The condition is getting worst when the floor is wet especially during a rainy day. Rainy day is not the main problem here but the understanding is the main key.

What I want to say is,

Our downstairs neighbour is a pair of not working couple. I am pretty sure both of them live their life based on the benefit from the tax payers money because they just shut temselves behind the door for like 24/7. Indirect way to say this is, they earn their living from my husband's money as well because he pays tax monthly. But it is not something to complaint about. Like the oldies said, 'when in Rome do like as Romans do', so we as a foreigner have to adapt with the country's system.

We should be grateful enough for this country to give us, the foreigners a child benefit because of the monthly tax paid by my husband. I do not think even though my own country could offer this type of benefit to the foreigner, just narrow the scope to different races who were born in Malaysia, they are Malaysian but they do not receive any benefits like ours Bumiputras' do. So what is the new? And sometimes it is weird though, when we as the foreigners who live in a foreign land without contributing in paying tax keep 'cari lubang' to get the benefit. This situation is commonly happened in the UK. And some of Malaysian faked their information just to get the benefit and after so many cases the UK government has decided to totally stop giving Malaysian the benefit like they used to offer in the old days. It has already stated in our visas' ' no resource to the public fund'.

Oh I do not care enough which party leads the country as long as they can do their best to the country.

Ok, back to my neighbour.

I am completely mental with the guy not the lady! The guy is like doing cleaning or mopping the hallway floor and the staircase. The problem is, he left the wet floor after cleaning! As we know, wet floor can cause accident. It a common sense for a normal people to understand this. Only retarded needs to be told I guess!

This incident happened in the last June.

One day, when we passed by the wet floor with our buggy, the tyres left black stain on the wet floor ( we used to wipe out the stain on the floor ok !). He scolded my husband by saying 'cleaning cleaning cleaning'. Oh he could not speak English properly so what he tried to say was, he did the cleaning and right after that the floor was dirty again. Oh hello, he was lucky to scold the person who has a very high limit of patient. I could see I talk back right on his face if he said or scolded on my face instead.

This stupido is really stupid. After mopping around the whole floor, he used to throw out the dirty water from the bucket right in front of the main door. So, the condition could get worst because when you stepped in the puddle, your shoes could easily left stain on the white tiles in the hallway's floor.

So, what is the point of doing the cleaning if the right concept of cleaning does not apply in here. Moron!

The other thing that I really piss off with this guy is, he is soooo getting used by the habit of shutting the door by slamming instead of closing it properly or quietly. So the echo of the 'slamming sound' is really annoying. Sometimes, when Haris is taking forty winks, he used to get shock with the sound. Of course I would not slam the door back unless I really mad and I will ensure the 'door slamming' by me is thrice louder!. hahahahhaa.

Truthfully, I never had a problem with my previous neighbours. Perhaps that is the price you have to pay to have uneducated people who are living under the 'same roof'.

Until today, I just wait until he really makes something that I could not hold my anger anymore. And if this happen, I will write an official letter to the landlord to file my complaints.

Gripping my hands and teeth while writing this...sigh!

When a pregnant lady's being rude..

We were chasing for a train at Antwerp Central Station. The train just about to leave in no time soon. I almost struggled to catch up my breath to step my feet into the train. Finally, we were on board. Alhamdulillah. Just if we could not make it at the time showed, we have to wait for another one hour to return to Liege.

On board, we chose the first coach since we had not got enough time to sit at the other coaches. Right after sitting on the chair, the conductor blew up the whistle and there, the train off from the station. (Earlier this morning, we bought a rail pass and we have to write in details the journey everytime we use the pass. Read it carefully for the whole story.)

When we departed from Antwerp Station, two conductors were sitting by us. They were chatting, laughing and even making fun to each others. They were really looked like somebody off from their duty time..Loitering around on the chairs. I was asking Am to look for a pen to write the itinerary details on the pass. Unfortunately we did not bring any. So I told Am, 'Do u think I should ask a pen from these two conductors?' and Am said, 'do not bother, they must be out of their duty time, and we can ask from the on duty conductor when they come to check our ticket'. I do agree with Am's opinion. Why? Because normally, when we get in the train straightaway the conductor will approach their passengers to check the tickets and they will lend you a pen if you need to fill in the pass without making any complaints and they do not even dare to loitering around like these two monkeys k!

But, tonight the shitty scenario happened to us. The so-called bitchy-lady-conductor made my heart almost exploded.

In ten minutes of our journey, these two conductors started checking the tickets. We were the second people on board that was needed our ticket to be checked. When she stood by me, I said politely..'I am sorry, I forgot to bring my pen, can I borrow yours'? Then straightaway she replied rudely, 'you departed from Antwerp you should fill in the pass earlier.' And I said, 'Yes, I know but I do not have pen to write on it..'..Then she said, 'Why do not u asked me earlier..u saw me sat by u'..And again I replied, ' I thought u off duty because u just sitting there resting ur feet like -just-finished-ur-tonight-shift..'...And she kept saying the same statement which was, why we did not ask for the pen earlier...Oh God..what is the fucking hell la pompuan..

Normally, it does not matter, if you have the pass just ask the pen from the conductor and they will lend you a pen without bitching comments.. Ok fine..And then she said, you need to paid this amount of money..Guess how much? Bloody cost a bomb ok..Euro 55.80 including the fine. And we said,'we are sorry, can u just give me the pen and I fill in the pass without paying the huge amount of money?' And she said, 'yes sorry is sorry but u need to pay it' Trust me, It was not the fine that made felt annoying but her expression and intonation that made me furious... I said, 'we do not have cash..we only have a debit card'..and she said,'No..No..only visa is acceptable'..Bloody no-no to master card either k.

Suddenly, the other conductor came approaching us, and asked the lady what was happening? The lady's conductor said..bla2..as per story above. The guy seemed to let us scot free and just fill in our pass..but the lady insisted on fining us..And politely, the guy said, 'sorry..you need to pay this amount..Next time you have to be extra carefull ok'..And at the same time when Am gave his credit card, I just about to swear out loud with my healthy lungs, kidneys and all on that lady. To show my bad tempered. Angin k! I just snatched our pass in her hand rudely. She was staring at me blankly and I said, 'this is my pass, if u want me to pay the fine, that is it ok..but u do not have to keep my fucking pass'. All the eyes in the coach was staring at me ..I did not care how rude they think I am ok..I am not fucking care..come on..what a scene she tried to make tonight...The rest of the conductors are ok..we never met somebody that so bitchy like this bloody girl..pegi mampus la!

Ok the incident was ended there. And we never seen the lady again after that for the whole journey. How glad we were!

Suddenly, out of the blue...one of the controller man came to each passengers and let us knew the top and shocking news...hehehhe..He asked where was our destination..When I said 'liege', he just said..'ok you just stay where u are..no need to get off and change the train'..but this train will go to leuven first and not use the normal track because there was one guy who is trying to kill himself on the track..So police do not allowed any traffic to go through the track..Oh my God..what?committing suicide? huh..I guess recession to be blamed my be..so here we are..30 minutes late arrived in Liege plus needed to pay huge amount of fine..The journey that I could not forget forever in my life...experience eh? Anyway, thanks to kak khis, abg madzli and fitri for the hospitality..Nasi lemak daun pisang is yummyyyyyyy! toche2..see you all next week perhaps, for our subway dating in Brussels ok.

Real tips and advice?

Have you been noticing that your dress size has been creeping up a number or two? Are your favorite jeans getting a little snug? If you answered yes to any of these question, then you may be considering losing a little weight to help your body to get back into shape. But (as most of us know!) weight loss is not an easy thing to attempt, and, if done improperly, it can be leaded to serious health risks.

Me, myself, I am piling up a few pounds..To be exact 4kg. I can't continue my exercise regime since the weather is getting colder. I can't stand the outside weather without my jacket and gloves. So how on earth I can exercise with so-called 'heavy outfits and bleak weather'? So, I need any ideas from my readers what is the best way that you ever used to loose some weight. The cliche advivce does not count in here. What I mean by cliche advice is, give the tips without try it on to yourselves. I want the reality and experimented advice how you really loose your weight. If possible with the proof of before and after, pics..hehehhhe..Is it too much to ask? Bukan apa, as a motivation la! That's all.

Currently, I reduce the intakes of-

1. Rice-only once a day before 7.pm.
2. No heavy foods at night, just plain water and if I am too hungry, I go for biscuits or a slice of bread.

I really am feeling annoying and inferiority complex with my current weight. huhuhu..Any ideas anybody?

Oh please! Not again!!

There was an incident that I think it is better to share with my readers. The incident that happened in the last two days, when we went to one of the continental shop that was owned by a Moroccon and the best part of this story that you have to bear in mind is, this Moroccon is a Muslim. This shop that I am talking about is situated across the river, and it is quite an outskirt location from ours. We went there to buy some halal groceries since it was much cheaper compared to the city centre. Well, I bought two boxes of chicken cube and it costed us 0.55 cent, so not to waste our time (since we were heading to the next shop after buying the chicken cube) AM quickly paid the shopkeeper with Euro ten note and the guy said that he did not have any change and he insisted us to pay with coins. So we kept looking for the coins in every single pockets and wallets that we had to get the right amount of the money. Eventually, there was the money worth 0.55 cent to be paid to the guy. After paying we asked for our Euro 10 note back. And guess what? He said that he has already returned us the money. Oh my God! Is it a joke or what?

We said, "nope..you are still holding the money!" ..and he tried to hustle us and kept saying that the money had been returned. After arguing for almost five minutes, and in fact, I almost lost my tempered and I just about to scream out loudly with my healthy lungs! I heard Am saying in a high pitch of his volume to that guy that, "this is Ramadan and it is Haram to steal and take something that does not belong to you!".(For your info, when he said that the money has already been returned, he tried to convince us by opening the cashier to show us that there was no money in the till...Of course, there was not! because he kept the money in his right hand and after we asked him to search us thoroughly, he refused to do so!. The truth was, his face started to turn reddish and look guilty).

So, after hearing the word Haram, Out of the blue, he handed over the money to us. But the bizarre thing was, if he did not hold the money, so how come the money was there, in his hand? Logically, from the start he kept the money in his hand and kept making a fuss with us in hope that we will give up and just walk away from the shop. You see, how he tried to scam us? But, hello! we watched the Real Hustle series, so we are totally used to this type of scam.

Remember that, If you hesitate or have a second thought when the scammer tries to con you, so you are dead meat! Because, they will know when you lost your ground and confidence. So my friend, please do keep an eye when you pay or give money to somebody and always check the balance that has been returned to you before leaving the shop! Do not let the scammer scam you so easily.

You see, this is why sometimes I do not trust Muslim people easily in a foreign country especially Arab people. Their bad behaviour sometimes make me think that, it is better to give away your money to the non Muslims that are homeless. At least they request the money from you and do not steal it. It just the matter of whether you are willing or not to give it to them. If you are willing to do so, they will appreciate it so much and if you are not, they just walk away instead! At least, they still have dignity compared to this so-called a bloody bastard Muslim people!! Buat malu agama islam jek!

P/S- On the contrary, this incident teach us to be more careful and not trust unknown people easily, Neither Non-Muslim nor Muslim!

Gypsies are F#####G B#####D!

Something bad happened to Am when he was coming back from Friday prayer. He was talking over the phone with his Supervisor, Greg. So, after hanging off the phone, he put it in the front jacket's pocket. Suddenly, a gypsy man came after him and pretended like he was crazy and he tried to say something in a foreign language. He laid his hand on Am's chest and kept mumbling indistinctly. He tried to tackle Am's leg and leaned forward towards my husband like a drunk. Am pushed and managed to escape from this crazy bastard gypsy. Am was walking away when he realized that something was missing in his pocket.

Yes, his intuition was absolutely right, the PDA phone has been stolen and when Am went back to face the gypsy, he showed all his empty pockets. And, he kept smiling like a stupid monkey to show Am that he did nothing wrong but at the same time, the face showed you that " I steal your phone, but you have no proof that I took it". It was him, the one who stole the PDA, but he quickly passed it on to his friends that were riding on a bike when this man was trying to stop Am. They were neck and neck in their so-called "stealing action". Unfortunately, they were too far away to be chased.

In my personal opinion, this bunch of gypsies were already keeping an eye on Am when he was talking over the phone. They knew exactly which pocket my husband put the PDA phone in, and quickly, one of them came near Am, just to nick it in the nick of time before Am realized the phone had been stolen. No wonder Gypsies always been put as a second class people in other people's eyes and they deserve to be slaughtered by Hitler! They deserved it well! I curse all Gypsies from now onwards!

P/S -moral of the story is to always be careful with the people around you! you will never know what they intend to do to you. But whatever it was, all things happen for a reason! Tawakkall je le..aku doakan diani mati kena langgar lori bulan puasa ni..amin!

False Alarm but good intent...

We arrived at home from London at 11.30p.m last night.Apparently, I felt sooooo tired so I asked Am to switch on the electric heater in our room to heat up the room before I took a bath, since I was busy to prepare our late dinner. Then, I off to the bathroom....

Oh My God, what happened with our room? I could see our room was smoky. Something was burning BUT without fire...Gosh!!..Am forgot to put off my towel from the heater. Actually, I used the heater as my washing line for my towel so that it can dry easily...so my mistake then. He such so careless and I such so stupid put ourselves in danger. So I opened the room's door and suddenly our fire alarm was ringing loudly in the middle of the late night. It has been ringing for almost 10minutes.I guess!!Am went to the downstairs to stop the alarm but he couldn't! It was because the alarm showed the area was still smoky. Normally, fire brigade will come over to the location if you fail to shut off the fire alarm.

Suddenly, one of our neighbors came and helped us to switch off the alarm and it went well. Nevertheless, he told us that he had called the fire brigade earlier as a precaution. Ok, whatever. Besides, maybe he thought it was better safe than sorry even it was unnecessarily. Shortly, the fire brigade came with the fire engine and 12 firemen, where as the condition was not as serious as they might thought.Oh My God I felt really guilty to put them all in this situation because of our stupid mistakes. They straightly checked the room. One of them interrogated Am to investigate what was actually happened. After they satisfied with the condition and interrogation they told us to switch the heater with the new one.

We really asked the humble apology from the firemen and our neighbors. Promised! I will nevermore put my towel on the heater in the future. Never!! What we learnt from this matter was, we have to be more careful. Carelessness can put you in risk!!!!!
Thanks to our neighbors and firemen..

My Standpoint

Today I had a row with one of the APNA cashier. The cause was she scanned a cabbage which was not mine.I told her "Excuse me, the cabbage is not mine". Then she replied in a nasty tone "You should tell me", so I replied "I'm telling you now, I don't know whose try to mix them up!".She created a poker face and when she want to give my balance she seemed and tried to push my hand..so guess what i told her??I just said " you're such a rude and bad mannered!" wakakakaka..fuhhhh..satisfied..then I walked away with a wide smile on my face. The moral of this story is we as a customer always right, don't hesitate to correct them if they are wrong.Terpaksa kurang ajar sebab aku dilayan dgn kureng ajar by her.Nor aku teringat kes pakcik pot belly kat restaurant UPM.
