Gent sightseeing and open house


We have been invited by Zaini and ros for their open house in Gent since last week. Actually, the open house was held today but we went off to Gent a day earlier and stayed overnight at their house to complete our mission ( not like mission impossible k!heheehhe) which was sightseeing in the town. The journey by train took one and half hours . Prior to our arrival, I had all the tram and town must visit places in Gent ready in my hand to make our plan run smoothly.

After arriving at Gent train station, we took tram no.1 that headed to Koren Markt, where all the must see buildings and places are situated. We took A few pics around the Gent castle, churches and the surrounding area before we headed to the souvenir shops to buy some souvenirs for us. When we finished, straightaway we took the no.4 tram to go to Zaini's house. By the way, the autumn season is finally here..look for the orengey colour for this pic..The weather was absolutely damn cold thus, we ended up took less photos.



Despite being busy by sightseeing in the town, I still allocated some time to help Ros to cook some dishes, well..not me myself, there were Natrah, Helmi and Am as well..Together, we helped our host to prepare the foods and all sorts, since Ros has a new born to entertain. Natrah ended up cooking soto (actually this was the potluck by them ), pudding and fried the spring rolls. Whereas,I ended up cooking Beriani Rice, Ayam masak merah, Laksam and few more dishes, We were cooking up a storm in the kitchen to make sure all the boxes were ticked in the menu's listed items.
I could not imagine if we let our host did the cooking and other jobs by themselves, since their new baby was not feeling well, the condition was getting worse when, during the middle of the night, their baby kept waking up and crying out loud of his healthy lungs. I could feel that Ros and Zaini at their wits end when the baby reluctant to settle down. I dare say that the things happened hourly until dawn. Sigh!

Well, I think that is the price that all parents have to pay in order to take care of their kids until they grow up. Anyway, It made me realize how difficult it was for my parents when they were taking care of me when I was a baby. Since, I am the only one among my siblings that used to cry a lot until I was 5 years old. I could not imagine how pathetic and awful the condition of my parents were at that time..Ya Allah..Please make both of my parents live longer..Amin..

Well, I can say that the open house went very well, with the new guests and to all..

wah.. kak nurul.. buat laksam lg... tik suka bangat tuh.. sokmo tik buat laksam and celur spagethi (ukt ganti laksa). Sedap.. Kak nurul buat laksam atas gapo? Tik takdok tusung puyuk.. buat atas pingge.. tok jd comel mace k nurul buat.. acu bui tips skit..

tik..stim atas tuudung puyuk..tp buke ka nurul punyo..tuan umah punyo..tik ada sapu mnyak tak b4 tuang tepung masa nk kukus?kena sapu minyak..tp kak nurul rasa cube je guno piring hal leper sgt..ganti tudung puyuk tu..
